Jaga Karkoszka.  Artist extraordinaire!
I can say this because I have known her since primary school.  Even then she always had a pencil or crayon in her hand, drawing, drawing, drawing.  She is truly a born artist; she will not sit still.

Her unique vision was evident from the beginning.  Not only are her paintings beautiful, they are inhabited by her spirit, by her soul.

Jaga is a child of the Second World War.  She grew up in Kraków where she received her fine art education, and then went to Wrocław, where she obtained her diploma.  But always, always she remains true to herself and doesn't submit to trends of the day.

Her works are full of colour, very well drawn, exquisite in detail, well thought through.  Her opinion of life and the world are on display... whimsical and satirical.

You can find her works in private collections and museums, in Poland and internationally.  Jaga paticipates in group and solo exhibitions.  If you are lucky enough to visit her studio, you encounter the enchanted inner world of the artist's imagination.

She is an individualist, driven to create.

"I think a picture should be many things: a narrative, a graphic, colour.  It should not just be a surface covered by paint.  And it should always retain the individuality of its creator.
I put my signature to the now known trend of magic realism."

A  KARNAWAŁ TRWA….. – stanowi osobny dział mojej twórczości -
jest to cykl rozmaitych konterfektów które systematycznie tworzę od 50ciu bez mała lat w technice olejnej na płótnie lub rysując na kartonie. Konterfekty olejne sama starannie oprawiam. Są to portrety realnych osób  tworzone na zamówienie, „ portrety miasta lub innego miejsca „ , postacie wymyślone których podobieństwo do rzeczywistych ludzi istnieje jedynie w domyśle odbiorców. Wizerunkom towarzyszą zwykle ich ulubione atrybuty : przedmioty; zwierzęta…..
Najczęściej są to małe obrazy , wielkością porównywalne do wielkości zeszytu szkolnego.
Większość tych prac obecnie jest w prywatnych zbiorach.
Całej kolekcji od tak dawana tworzonej nadałam miano CYKLU zatytułowanego : A  KARNAWAŁ TRWA  analogicznie do twierdzenia że  ŻYCIE TRWA….a dopóki życie trwa to nieustannie dodajemy coś nowego .
 
MOJA ABSTRAKCJA
To konterfekty geometrii : koła , kwadraty, trójkąty ,linie proste, łuki zebrane razem z kolorem tworzą KOMPOZYCJE.
 
Moja twórczość jest wielowarstwowa bowiem nie jestem w stanie zasklepić się w jednym upodobaniu.
 Świat = Życie odbieram jako nieustannie zmieniający się obraz.
Moja twórczość nie podporządkowuje się powszechnie uprawianym
tendencjom – modom w malarstwie np.. powszechnie uprawianej
obecnie abstrakcji organicznej – ba, w najmniejszym stopniu nawet nie staram
się podporządkować ogółowi.
Moje obrazy stanowią rebusy w których zaszyfrowuję przeżycia,
wydarzenia, ujmując je często żartobliwie jak groteskową farsę.
Przesłanie zawarte w moich obrazach jest odczytywane wieloznacznie.
Uważam siebie za prześmiewcę.
Obraz winien być wielowarstwowy: powinien zawierać;
narrację, graficzność (rysunek) , kolor - aby nie stał się jedyne
powierzchnią zakrytą farbami.

Uważam, iż Obraz winien też zachować indywidualizm jego twórcy.
Siebie Przypisuję  do nurtu zwanego obecnie magicznym realizmem.
