Twelve fortunate islands
Exhibition in Gallery CNAP in Lisbon (Open11.04.2015 - finish 05.05.2015)
Twelve fortunate islands In search of their origins, without fearing their traditions, thus finding the essence of their own artistic truth, we are on the right islands. Each artist is alone on his/her artistic mental island, though he/she is part of a luxurious archipelago. The paintings are the main characters in the midst of the ocean, sea-gallery, where sets of stories separated by emotion, knowledge and their own senses come together. I see this exhibition as a happy meeting of artists from several countries, in a country That conquered worlds in the sixteenth century. Now we are global beings, who remain close to the tradition and life experience which makes us unique Text: Mariola Landowska artist and curator of this exhibition.
