High on Life! Andrzej Szatyński exhibition.

Szatyński experiments a lot with form, combines techniques and analizes particular topics. This time, while passing through industrial spaces, artist was capturing trivialities. Objects, such as scaffoldings, excavators, cranes and construction sites. Things that are supposed to be transient, to reveal the final form (a building, asquare, ahighway).

Author gives attention to a kind of 'freeze-frame'. He longs for 'the tool' which he elevates to a rank of subject, a starting point. In his works, Artist summons those landscapes, tames them by using artistic gesture and basic symbols. Those characters are being applied, layer by layer, as a kind of mantra. They create a flickering tissue of memmories, repetitions, human authomaticity, full of randomness and 'joy of seeking'. It doesn't claim to be called a masterpiece. It is unpretentious. It is simply 'high on life'!
