FORM Art Festival 2014, 30 June - 6 July, Rawicz
The fourteenth FORM Festival of the Contemporary Art will take place in Rawicz this year. The festival's programme includes various concerts, film screenings, workshops, theatrical activities and performances. The works will be created and displayed not only within the galleries but also outdoors, taken to the various urban spaces (including the backyards and balconies, the City Hall's basement, even the roof of the public toilet and the main train station).
Martyna Wolna will be showcasing her collections 'Pom Pom' and 'Bars' on 2 July at the Museum of Rawicz. Martyna, one of the transmedial artists, creates the 'waste' images. Not always 'technically' correct, the paintings combine both the oils and the acrylic and are sometimes created on the canvas previously used by other artists.
Martyna Wolna, Pompony
In her works, she frequently uses rubbish and waste, often paining the wrappers or using them in her installations. In the passage of the main train station, she will be creating an installation made entirely of multicolored sweets, in an attempt to distract us from the dirt of the station and its vandalized walls. Both the collection and the installation, relate to the pointless colorful waste we produce, something, that after all, was initially created to seduce us.
The entire festival will be recorded throughout and turned in a documentary called the 'Opening Finissage'.
